Bethel Baptist Church College Ministry exists to help college students know and love God, love people, and make disciples. While the closest college campus is the University of Oklahoma, we serve students at other schools such as OSU, OCCC, UCO. We also help graduating seniors find local churches and ministries wherever they feel led to attend college.
At Bethel, our college ministry functions within the larger body of the local church and the integration of college students in worship with believers in other life stages is crucial for spiritual growth. We believe that as we invest in the body and serve in several areas we see God work in fresh ways. We also see the value of gathering with other believers in a similar life-stage, so our Sunday morning Bible-study, and Wednesday night gatherings are specifically designed for college-aged adults.
We also have a heart for discipleship and we provide opportunities for one-on-one discipleship for our students with the intent that they will in turn be life-long disciple makers! The dynamic spiritual growth that occurs through the Holy Spirit in the context of discipleship is amazing! There is no other time like the college years for people to truly own their faith and develop habits that will help them follow God fiercely for a life-time.
SUNDAYS at Bethel
Small Groups | 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM | College Room 211
Sunday mornings begin with breakfast, coffee, and fellowship. Then we have a Small Group teaching time immediately following in the same room.
Worship Service | 10:15 AM | Worship Center
We join the rest of the church for corporate worship following safety distancing guidelines. Senior Pastor Matt Brown delivers a message and Brian Dickinson and his team lead music. Corporate worship is important to our faith as we are called to gather together to worship the Lord each week.
