John Henson

Financial Administration

John has lived most of his life in Norman, being born in a farm house west of Norman. John's family moved to Bristow, OK while he was a fifth grader. John's family lived there until after his high school graduation, and then moved back to Norman.

 John met and married his wife, Elaine, while they were students at OU. They moved to Oklahoma City and John completed his Accounting degree at Central State College as Elaine worked to help support them financially.

 John has been employed by an automobile hauling company, a CPA firm, two oil and gas companies, a church management software company, and two churches as business administrator during his working career. John retired in 2009 from McFarlin Methodist Church. John joined Havenbrook Funeral Home in 2011 as an ambassador, retiring in 2019.

 John's wife, Elaine, recently retired as Director of Children's Ministries here at Bethel. John and Elaine have two grown children, three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and a step great grandchild.

John has been Bethel member since 2000 and has served as a Deacon. John currently serves as Financial Administrator, overseeing the financial operations of Bethel.
