Operation Christmas Child is an evangelical ministry of Samaritan’s Purse that sends Love-Filled, Gift-Filled Shoeboxes around the world. Shoeboxes filled with gifts, hygiene items, school supplies, and clothing are given to children in third-world countries and in areas affected by famine, natural disasters, and disease.
While the children receive Shoeboxes filled with fun, the real gift they receive is the knowledge that Jesus loves them and died for them. Each child receives The Greatest Gift, a booklet about Jesus in their own language. When these precious children take their gifts home, they are sharing your graciousness and Jesus’ love with their family and friends. Samaritan’s Purse estimates that each Shoebox touches the lives of approximately 11-12 people.
